The Marketing and Sales pathway leads students on a pathway to learn and earn! Students learn essential skills in advertising, consumer behavior, and sales techniques. Through interactive projects and real-world simulations, students learn how to develop marketing strategies, conduct market research, and create promotional materials. This program fosters critical thinking and communication skills, preparing students for successful careers in a variety of dynamic fields including marketing/sales, digital marketing, entrepreneurship, business management, and finance.

Career Activities
Participation in the operation of Apache Design business, students collaborate to design and produce custom products, such as apparel and promotional items, while managing all aspects of the business from marketing to sales. Through this hands-on experience, they develop essential skills in entrepreneurship, teamwork, and customer service, preparing them for future careers in design and business.

Work-Based Learning
Second-year students who meet eligibility requirements may be selected to participate in a work-based learning experience in Apache Design or be placed with an area employer in a variety of industries/businesses (retail, consumer goods, software, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, real estate, financial services, travel, etc.) to support marketing, sales, or digital marketing where students can apply their skills in real-world settings. These may be paid or non-paid positions.

- Meet Graduation Requirements
- 15 Dual credits that can be applied to Ivy Tech Digital Marketing Certificate (CT). Students would only need three additional Ivy Tech classes to earn the CT.
- Work Ready: Sales Assistant, Marketing Assistant, Outside Sales Representative, Digital Marketing Assistant, Social Media Coordinator, Business Development Associate, Customer Service Representative, HR Assistant, Account Coordinator, Procurement Assistant, and other business-related positions.
- Postsecondary: Enroll in Ivy Tech to complete a short or long-term certification program in digital marketing, business information technology, business administration, HR, or insurance or apply dual credits to earn an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or business management.
